This Privacy Policy explains how Guangzhou WenXun Technology Co., Ltd. (doing business as WhySource) collects and handles information when you contact us about sourcing services — requesting a quote, providing specifications, or exchanging correspondence — and how we protect that information.

1. Information We Collect

  • Contact details you share: name, company, email and phone.
  • Inquiry content: product specifications, quantities, packaging and quality requirements, target prices.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, cookies (see section 4).
  • We do not collect payment or card details through this site; procurement is finalized through separate commercial agreements.

2. How We Use This Information

  • To respond to your inquiry and prepare quotations and sourcing proposals.
  • To keep records of quotations and communications for performance and legal compliance.
  • We do not sell or rent your business information to third parties.

3. Sharing with Third Parties

  • Manufacturers and suppliers, only to the extent needed to evaluate and verify products for your inquiry, bound by confidentiality terms.
  • Our AI assistant's model provider: it receives your message only after automatic redaction and solely to generate an answer, under confidentiality obligations; it is not used to train models.
  • Competing suppliers and marketing parties never receive your details.

4. Cookies

  • We use strictly necessary cookies (language preference NEXT_LOCALE) and optional analytics cookies.
  • You can clear cookies in your browser settings; the language memory will then reset.

5. Data Storage & Retention

  • Data is hosted on servers located in Hong Kong, China, and is not transferred to mainland China for routine processing.
  • Inquiry records are retained for up to 24 months to support follow-up, quotation revisions and any commercial dispute resolution.
  • When you use the AI online assistant, the redacted conversation is processed by a model provider under contractual and confidentiality safeguards — see section 7.

6. Your Rights

  • You may request access, correction or deletion of the information you have shared, by emailing support@whyseek.net.
  • Residents of the EU/EEA and UK additionally have rights under applicable data-protection law and may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
  • When you exercise the right to erasure we irreversibly anonymise your personal data. Where a retention period required by applicable tax or commercial law has not yet expired, or erasure is technically impracticable, we cease any processing beyond storage and the necessary security safeguards and delete the data once that period ends.
  • We acknowledge requests without undue delay and normally respond within 15 working days of receipt; where a request is complex we will tell you the extended deadline and the reason.

7. AI Online Assistant

  • We provide an AI assistant for general questions about sourcing, specifications, samples, lead times and our process. It answers only from material we have published; where the material does not cover your question, it says so and hands over to a human advisor instead of guessing.
  • Your message is automatically redacted before it leaves our server: email addresses, phone numbers, passport and ID numbers and card numbers are replaced with placeholders. Only the redacted text is sent to the model service.
  • Conversation records are kept to improve answer quality, support human follow-up and meet compliance obligations, and are automatically deleted after 365 days.
